At Wren we celebrated international Week . It was a fantastic week for the children to learn about other cultures as well as celebrate their own culture. Each class learnt about a different topic and at the end of the week we had a wonderful sharing assembly. Holly class learnt all about clothes from around the world and shared some really interesting facts with us. Conker class learnt all about food and they even made some noodles and tried to use chop sticks to eat them with. Acorn class learnt all about transport and they made a Tuk Tuk using one of our playground scooters. In Cherry class they learnt all about dancing and they even performed a dance in front of the whole school. It included traditional dance moves for a huge range of countries and the children performed amazingly.

On the Friday, we finished this week by having our International dress up day and Food fair organised by the friends of Wren.

It really was a wonderful and special event which all the parents and children loved. We must express our gratitude to everyone who volunteered their time or who baked, cooked and donated food, without them this event could not have gone ahead. It was a phenomenal range of food and it was an amazing opportunity for the children to taste new delicious treats from around the world.
