An enjoyable start to our summer term

20 May 2016

This term the children began learning all about Space. Space rockets and space stations appeared in the classroom and the children learnt a poem off by heart which described all the planets in our solar system! We then moved onto learning about mini beasts. The children were incredible bug finders! We even rescued a frog who was trapped by our mud kitchen, we looked after him and then set him free into a local pond!

We are very excited to be planning our Summer fair. It is going to take place on Monday 4 July from 3.15-4.45pm after our school sports day. The parents are working hard to prepare fun and exciting stalls and we are looking for some wonderful donations to our raffle. We hope to see many people there.

Next week my teachers are beginning to visit the nurseries of our children who are going to start school in September. We cannot wait to see you all and get to know you. We also hope you are able to attend all our transition events such as our parents welcome evening and our children’s fun afternoon!  We will also be sending out invites to your children to visit our classroom, so look out for our emails or letters.

I have just been around our new building and we are so close to finishing! Attached are some picture of each area. I am so excited and cannot wait to move in after half term. The children’s playground expanded today and they were delighted to use some of the new equipment.

Have a look at the photos below!
