We are delighted to have a new music company based here at Wren. The children in Reception and Year 1 classes are starting the DaCapo Music Programme this year. This award winning programme explores music thoroughly and from all angles.  The children will be learning songs especially commissioned for the age group, enabling them to sing in tune and explore a variety of ways to sing - faster, slower, louder, softer etc. They will be building an understanding of rhythm and rhythmic patterns as well as learning to read simple rhythms.  They will also work with movement which helps them to learn to internalise the pulse and rhythm of music. We are starting our first ever school choir this year and it is wonderful to have over 30 children signed up to join! DaCapo are also offering instrumental lessons to our Year 1 pupils where they can either learn how to play the trumpet, trombone or violin.
