Year 6 Residential Posted: 15/11/21
Year 6 had an amazing time on their recent five day residential trip to the Isle of Wight. We travelled by coach and ferry, arriving mid afternoon ready for action! On arrival, the children found out who their roommates were and after much excitement and making of beds, the activities began! Starting with the Balance Beam and Leap of Faith, the children showed great determination and resilience to overcome any anxieties or fears.
We had a jam packed week with a range of different activities including; Zip Wires, Aero Ball, Shelter Building, Fire Making, Fencing and Archery to name but a few. We had great fun on a visit to the local beach, where the children made sandcastles, paddled in the water, played beach games and did some rock pooling. The children put on their best clothes and danced away at the disco on the final night. We all had a wonderful week and it was a privilege to watch the children bond, mature and continue to model exemplary behaviour for the duration of the trip.
