Year 3 went back to the Stone Age!

Year 3 went on an exciting discovery trip to Waltham Abbey and all became historians that took part in some exciting educational activities.  We went on a hunt for natural edible plants and spoke about how Stone Age people hunted and gathered and then pretended to be in a dark cave, where we did some cave paintings.  We finished the day by making a fire by using a modern version of the flint that they used in the Stone Age to spark a fire.

The students thought that Stone Age people would had to have qualities like our superhero learning powers to survive the Stone Age, such as patience, resourcefulness, responsibility and a strong community.
