Bebras Computing Challenge

BebrasAll children in Years 3- 6 took part in a nationwide online computational thinking competition in school called Bebras. The Bebras Computing Challenge introduces computational thinking to students.

It is organized in over 50 countries and designed to get students all over the world excited about computing.

Each participant answers questions that focus on computational and logical thinking. So many children were either awarded a Participation, Merit or Distinction certificate (Distinction being the highest).

We had three children who scored in the top 10% of the whole country – Leticia A - Year 6 Oak Class, Emil B-D - Year 6 Oak Class and Monty B - Year 6 Evergreen Class! Congratulations! We are very proud of their computational thinking skills! This means they have been invited to take part in the first round of a second nationwide online competition called The Oxford University Computing Challenge (OUUC). This competition challenges their coding skills as well as their computational skills. I am sure you will all join me in wishing them luck!
