Year 6 Residential Trip

Year 6 had an amazing time on their recent five day residential visit to the Isle of Wight. We travelled by coach and Ferry, arriving ready for action! On arrival, the children found out who their cabinmates were, and after much excitement and making of beds the activities began!

Starting with a delicious dinner, followed by songs around the campfire the children settled into their cabins for a good night’s sleep! We had a jam-packed week with a range of different activities including Zip Wires, Aero ball, Sensory Trials, Abseiling, Fencing, Buggy Building, Giant Swings, Orienteering and the Trapeze to name but a few.

The whole school took to the water on Wednesday, racing against each other in Dragon Boats. This was followed by a morning at the local beach on Thursday where the children played team games and built sandcastles! The children put on their best clothes and danced away at the disco on the final night. We all had a wonderful week; the children showed great determination and resilience to overcome any anxieties or fears. It was a privilege to watch the children bond, mature and continue to model exemplary behaviour for the duration of the trip! We are very proud of them all!
