Each year group was given a story to read . . . .

Reading to make a difference was the theme for World Book Day this year. Each year group was given a story to read that held an underlying message about what is happening in our world and what actions we can take to make a difference. The children were really inspired by the texts, and all made an individual pledge to make one small change to help protect our world.

It was wonderful to see all the children dressed up in their favourite book characters and we were very impressed with the children that had designed and created their own outfits.

The Rap Competition was a huge success and we were blown away by the children’s writing and performing skills. Well done to everyone that took part.

It was lovely to welcome the Year 12 students to the Primary Phase, who read a range of exciting books to the children with great tone, expression, and enthusiasm.
