Year 3 were transported back to The Stone Age!

We went on an exciting discovery trip to Waltham Abbey. We learnt what Stone Age life was like by hunting for naturally grown edible plants and berries and well as their uses.

Then our classroom was turned into a cave and we created some amazing cave paining using charcoal.

Finally, we ended the day by making a fire! We used a modern-day version of flint to spark a fire. We learnt how skills such as resilience, collaboration and resourcefulness were key to surviving during The Stone Age.
