Year 5 had a highly cultured experience at the National Portrait Gallery. The children became detectives, finding clues about historical figures and their priorities in the Tudor period.
Two of our children commented about the trip:
After a whole lot of walking, we arrived at the train station. The trains clattered as we squished between each other on the wall. Finally, we edged near to Trafalgar Square. Our jaws dropped as we encountered the terrific lion statue. Inaaya
The minute I stepped into the gallery, I felt like I was in a whole new world. Sculptures stood proudly while mosaic patterns stretched across the room like an octopus. Christos
