Year 2 Science Museum Trip Posted: 18/10/24
Our visit to the Science Museum was an exciting opportunity to explore the wonders of space as part of their Big Question: What Makes Our World Amazing?
The trip tied in perfectly with their current book, Look Up! by Nathan Bryon, which follows a hopeful young astronaut named Rocket, who dreams of exploring the stars.
The museum visit focused on the vastness of the universe, introducing children to key concepts such as the solar system, planets, stars and galaxies, while reinforcing Rocket's passion for space. The children enjoyed learning about the history of space exploration, from famous astronauts to ground breaking missions and discovered how human ingenuity has enabled us to explore beyond our planet Earth.
Through interactive exhibits, they engaged with the concept of gravity, space travel and the technology that makes it all possible, leaving them with a sense of awe and the inspiration to dream big, just like Rocket in Look Up!
