Year 5 launched their new Earth and Space topic with a visit from astronomer Dr Galloway and his interactive, space simulator!

He showed Year 5 all of the planets, stars and shared a lot of information with us.

His clever space simulator was like a giant, dark igloo. On the ceiling, he projected images of various parts of the universe. It was fascinating.

The children asked some fantastic questions and learnt so much.

“It felt like we were in space!”

“It felt like we were in a rocket, we could see everything so clearly.”

“We learnt about each of the planets, and it has really helped us with our science topic this term.”
