LDBS Annual Service at St Paul's Cathedral Posted: 31/01/25

It was an amazing trip and I am thankful that I could represent my school.

On Thursday 30 January a small group from Wren Academy Finchley went to St Paul’s Cathedral to represent the school at the Annual Service for the London Diocesan Board of Schools (LDBS). Among this group were three of our Primary students, who were invited to write about their experience.

We were privileged to travel on the tube and bus with ten people into Central London to visit St Paul’s Cathedral, for the London Diocesan Board for Schools service. It was amazing to be chosen to represent our school. We were able to sit under the dome for the service. In the service there were hymns, prayers and a dramatised reading. The dramatic reading was my favourite part of the service. It was an amazing trip and I am thankful that I could represent my school. Ziv, Willow Class

On Thursday 30 January, my friends and I were fortunate enough to visit St Paul’s Cathedral for the London Diocesan Board for Schools service. We got one bus and two tube trains to get there. In the service there were Bible readings, prayers and hymns. We were very privileged and got there early enough to sit under the dome at St Paul’s Cathedral, near the front. I really enjoyed going to St Paul’s Cathedral because it was great to represent my school. Zoe, Willow Class

On the 30 January 2025, we were lucky to have a chance to go to St Paul’s Cathedral with three Primary students, three Secondary students and two Sixth form students, all from Wren Academy Finchley. We went on the bus, then on the underground train. We were happy to get an almost front seat, and the service included prayers and we sang hymns. I was happy to represent our school, Wren Academy.
