World Book Day

This year, World Book Day at Wren Academy was a fantastic celebration of words and creativity, inspired by The Word Collector by Peter H. Reynolds!

The children arrived dressed as their chosen words, bringing language to life in a fun and imaginative way.  We loved celebrating all of the amazing costumes in the Word Parade, where the children proudly showcased their words and explained their meanings. Throughout the day, the children engaged in exciting activities designed to expand their vocabulary, discover new words and explore the power of language.

It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm as they collected, shared and played with words, making this World Book Day a truly memorable and enriching experience! We would like to thank all parents for their incredible support with making costumes and contributing to making the day a success.

Finally, we would like to thank you for your very generous book donations. The book stall which was a huge success and ran seamlessly by our Year 6 Literacy Advisors and Prefects, raised a fantastic £1130.00
