An incredible first week!

8 September 2015

They have been learning about first sounds, how to make friends and where to find things to help them around the classroom.  The design of the classrooms has ensured the children also complete their learning outside of the classroom, learning different ways to move and climb, learning different singing games and exploring with sand and water.

Please continue to check your emails daily as this is where you will receive all the correspondence and information from us. You must ensure you send the weekly lunch menu back to us or we will have to choose ourselves what lunch to provide.

Please note you do not need to send a snack into school as we provide fruit and milk daily for the children. Also please do not bring any nuts onto school property as many children suffer from nut allergies.

On Monday 21 September we will be holding a coffee morning for all parents. When you come to school, you will be able to come to the classroom with your child on that day. They will show you some of the work they have been doing and you can observe some of the learning activities that we have available. At 9.20 am we will go to the restaurant where I will introduce you to our online assessment profile.

I will be able to show you how to access it at home so you can see what the children are learning about in class and also enable you to contribute to your child’s profile.  I will also be providing you with some information about the year ahead, for example about reading, phonics and handwriting. Please complete the letter you have received so we have an idea of how many people will be attending.  Please note, not all events will be held during the day. The next event will be held in the evening to ensure working parents are also able to attend.

Please click here to visit the image gallery section of our website to view some wonderful photos of your children.

Thank you for your support so far and please do not hesitate to get in touch primary@wrenacademy.org
