Our second term at Wren Primary

11 January 2016

The second term here at Wren has started fantastically with the children really focused and excited about their new topic – animals. Mrs Salomon went on Safari this Christmas so has some wonderful photos and video’s to show the children of the real life animals she saw. Our new value is wisdom and in our assemblies we have been focusing on using our knowledge to make wise decisions. We will be learning about famous wise people and how we can make wise decisions when we learn about E-safety and Road safety. We have also been introduced to Resilient Rosie. She is teaching us all about perseverance and never giving up. We are rewarding children who try new things and complete a range of challenges in class. They are our ‘Challenge Champions’!

It was wonderful to be able to visit the building site and really see what the rest of the school is going to look like. I feel very blessed to be part of such an exciting project and I cannot wait for you to see the rest of the school. I walked around our new drama studio, school hall and all the classrooms. What is brilliant about this school is that every year group has a large group room for small group work and there is even space outside the back of the year 2 and 3 classrooms. The building work is going well, with the roof currently being completed and the windows and internal walls being added. Have a look at the great photos below!
