Children in Need
1 December 2016
This half term, the value we have been learning about is Compassion and every child and parent in the school has blown me away with the compassion and generosity they have shown.
On Friday 18 November, we joined many schools in the country for ‘Spotacular’ where we all came to school in spotty clothes to raise money for Children in need. The Reception children and Year 1 children were all able to describe why they wanted to help other children around the country. One child said to me ‘ We are so lucky to have such delicious lunches every day as not everybody does’. They keep telling me when they have shown compassion to each other and it is beautiful to see. For such young children to want to help others is wonderful and I thank the parents and staff for their support with the event. We raised a total of £236.96! Well done everyone!
