Uniform

Please follow the guidelines below when purchasing uniform.  We take pride in our uniform and want our children to feel the same, so please ensure they are dressed in the correct uniform each day.

Branded uniform item can be obtained at the lowest price by our uniform supplier Stevensons, who also supply the non branded items too.  Stevensons are based in St Albans but will hold regular stalls at Wren Academy and they accept orders online.  We will aim to host Pop Up shops at Wren in the Sumer Holidays for new parents.

Stevenson's website is https://www.stevensons.co.uk/schools/wren-academy-finchley/958 please visit this site to purchase uniform from now on.

We highly recommend that all uniform is clearly labelled with the child’s name and would ask if you could buy your labels from Stickins or MyNameTags, as Friends of Wren Academy will receive 20-30% commission of the sale to add to their fundraising for the Academy.

You can either purchase the Wren Book Bag or the Wren Back Pack (you do not need both).  As the children get older they generally prefer the backpack as this also fits their PE kit inside as well.

The fleece is optional.

PE Kit

All children should purchase the maroon polo shirt*, maroon sweatshirt*, black shorts** or black jogging bottoms** and black ankle socks.  This should be worn with black trainers if possible.  The black PE bag is optional and is not required if you have the backpack.  However, no other bags should be used.  Children will spend half the year having PE outdoors and the other half of the year having PE indoors.  Please speak to the class teacher to find out where your child is having PE each term so you can ensure they are dressed appropriately.

Please be aware that children in the Early Years will be outside in all weathers.  Part of their curriculum is to enable them to explore and learn about seasons, the weather and the environment, so a rainy or snowy day gives us perfect opportunities for teaching.  I recommend purchasing a warm coat (black or dark grey) which is suitable for the rain and some wellington boots which you can bring in and leave at school.

Second Hand Uniform Arrangements

We are pleased to partner with North London Hospice Charity Shops who have been designated an official supplier of Wren Finchley second hand uniform items.

Please donate all items which your child has grown out of to the shops so that families can source cheaper uniform and help minimise our impact on the environment. This arrangement also supports an important local charity
